To coincide with the exhibition *Boetti/Salvo. Vivere lavorando giocando* on display on the second floor of the MASI, an exhibition is being presented at Spazio -1. Collezione Olgiati, aimed at documenting the artistic climate in Turin during the 1960s and 1970s. *
* Selected works, associated with the Arte Povera movement and created between 1966 and 1973, by Giovanni Anselmo, Alighiero Boetti, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Luciano Fabro, Piero Gilardi, Mario Merz, Marisa Merz, Aldo Mondino, Giulio Paolini, Giuseppe Penone, Gianni Piacentino, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Emilio Prini, Salvo and Gilberto Zorio bear witness to the most significant achievements of that period as well as the vibrant intellectual climate that emerged in Turin during those years. The aim of this project, running in parallel with the Boetti/Salvo exhibition at Spazio -1, is to reconstruct the intense artistic and cultural landscape within which Boetti and Salvo embarked on their respective artistic journeys. Their artistic exploration was quite distinct from that of their Arte Povera colleagues, yet it sprang from a complex interplay of mutual exchanges and influences.
