Aldo Mondino, a leading figure of the late 20th century, and Franz Paludetto, one of Italy’s most prominent gallery owners, are the focus of the second exhibition at Freaks Cabinet, the space within GSF Contemporary Art conceived by the artist Pablo Mesa Capella and the collector Marco Albeltaro, featuring a project designed specifically for 8 March. Franz Paludetto, linked to Mondino by a partnership spanning over a decade, has selected a series of works from 2003 in which irony and the power of painting merge into a unique and powerful language, ideal for a space that aims to be an alternative to conventional museum practices.
Cappadocia is the pretext used by Mondino to poke fun seriously, to joke with rigour, to play like professionals.
Aldo Mondino is one of the most important artists of the late 20th century. There is nothing more to add.
